Christine Valente

Christine Valente is a Professor of Economics at the University of Bristol and an applied microeconomist. Her research centers on household decision-making around human capital and contraception in low-income settings, exploring the factors influencing these choices and how policy can shape them. Valente is affiliated with several prestigious research organizations, including as a Research Affiliate with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), a Research Associate with the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA).
